It was an overwhelming and beautiful experience.

We went to a meeting in their school, where we thanked them for the wonderful welcome, and they thanked us for visiting and supporting them.

They gave us gifts, and each woman hugged us. While we were in the meeting, a TOTAL downpour began, which they saw as a blessing that we had brought, since they have had some unexpectedly dry weather. April is usually a rainy month.
We had a great lunch - hands only - with Sammy Ole Roore our host

It was one of those "words can't begin to describe......" days that left us in shock again.

ReplyDeleteI am pleased to have met you in the Atlanta Airport. I plan to travel to Kenya to the Maasai Mara in late October to early Nov. It would appear from your photos that you have had an amazing experience.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your blog. I know your students will gain much insight into the African culture by participating in your travels.
Best wishes for continued travels,
