Day #6 - Last day in Uganda

We are sad to be leaving this beautiful country and the beautiful people who live here. We will miss their warmth and deep humanity, but we have exchanged email addresses and Facebook names!!!!!

We started the day by driving out to the property where Florence hopes to build her school. It is out of the city, closer to the bush villages. To get there, you need to navigate through some fierce traffic!

We stopped at the school where Florence used to teach, and her two daughters attended. It's the first school for girls in the country.

The property is beautiful - room for expansion, opportunity for a well, and enough space for farming crops that can be sold.

When we got back to town, we had Easter dinner with Florence's extended family. It was GREAT, and, surprise, surprise, WE'RE STUFFED!!!

We can't believe the week we've had!! Now, on to KENYA!!!!

  1. Thank You Thank You so much for all the pictures and for letting me see and read (just a little) all the wonders you two have experienced. Blessings on the next part of you trip that it goes as amazing as this part.
